Ambition knows no time zone.

Hey, it's Shaheim “The Success Mentor” here...

Ambition truly knows no time zone.

It doesn't matter where you are in the world, we all tend to get lost in our ambitions our desires, in the moment. This can be dangerous sometimes as it alienates you from everyone else and even the people closest to you. It's not that you don't care about them, it's just that you're driven beyond immediate reality in seeing this vision come true. This emotional pull that flows through your every being almost controls you. Before you know it, you haven't eaten, drank anything or slept.
This unbelievable focus has gotten us through many cramming sessions, pressures to fulfill deadlines and dreams we had to work on to see thru. When you become a business owner or entrepreneur, you'll sometimes forget the days of the week, holidays and seasons because you're in your own world bringing forth a vision into reality.
Embrace that focus and be confident in standing alone because no one knows your ambition more than the results your effort created.

I'll leave you with a short poem I found...

(AMBITIOUS ONE)
"...I swear my admiration
can't fit in an equation
to find the summation
of my adoration
plus your negation
to be an imitation,
hot damn your dedication
is amazing..." - Saije Cook

How do I get people to check out my music?

Does talking to people work for your business?

It should!

If it doesn't then you're missing out. Stop just sounding like a robot and get out and talk with people.

Conversations and drip mail still work.

Above all build relationships with your audience. Begin with people you know and actually check on what they're doing. I always say, "when networking and building relationships, it should be more about them than it is about you." Find out what their doing and what inspires them. The conversation moves to a dialogue about them to a mental trigger called "reciprocity" (Jeff Walker) that then has them ask about you. Now you have an open platform to promote yourself as they had. Make sure you have a simple and direct call to action to what you wish for them to do. Got it?

Success Frightens People

Success frightens people.

As much as we may say we want it, we don't want it bad enough. If it happened right now, it would be like looking into the sun. Blinding and overwhelming. It takes time to get used to unless you've been preparing for it all your life. When I was a kid, I used to practice looking directly into the sun. I knew it was bad for my eyes to do that but I would add a bit of time everyday to looking at the sun. Testing how much I can take before I had to turn away, shut my eyes or look away. How much could I take was always my question because there's something powerful out there and I want it.

Success frightens people. As much as we may say we want it, we don't want it bad enough. We don't want it as much as we want those extra minutes of sleep. We don't want it as much as we want to chill. We don't want it as bad or as much as we dream we do. A dream with no actions, no goals, no objectives is but a wish. When will you stop wishing and start acting on those thoughts, those dreams, those ideas. Watching others succeed is pleasing but it's not thoroughly satisfying. What did you do today, from the time you woke up, to get closer to your dream? What was it that woke you up? Do you wake up in a cold sweat because all you can think about is your success? Does your want for success interrupt your life habits? Where is your success list in your priorities?

Success frightens people. As much as we may say we want it, we don't want it bad enough. I think people have it wrong when they think about success. Success is the final result of the hard work. It's OK to dream but when you think about success, think about the hard work. I mean every rotten detail. Every point of the process. The type of focus where you feel like you're underwater and breathing is secondary to getting the job done. It consumes you and all you do... It sounds crazy but that's the balance between living and "LIVING". Living for a life that you don't need an escape from, loving what you do, feeling every speck of satisfaction in every deliberate action you make. Don't be afraid to succeed. If success was easy everyone would do it. Many of us won't succeed because we'll continue to get in our OWN way and until then, dreaming of success is the habit.

The truth is, Success frightens people. As much as we may say we want it, for some of us.....
We DO!

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."

"Success is what it means to you."~  Shaheim Says: Business Consultant/Mentor
