This emotional pull that flows through your every being almost controls you. Before you know it, you haven't eaten, drank anything or slept. This unbelievable focus has gotten us through many cramming sessions, pressures to fulfill deadlines and dreams we had to work on to see thru. When you become a business owner or entrepreneur, you'll sometimes forget the days of the week, holidays and seasons because you're in your own world bringing forth a vision into reality. What am I going to do now?

As many of you know or may not know, I am not as heavily involved in the music business as I used to be (by choice). I still give advice, mentor and help artists with their development and becoming a musical entrepreneur but the day to day operation was something I had to stop. The most valuable thing we have in life is TIME. And I wasn't getting the most out of mine so I decided to take it back. I took my time back and focused on me and what I needed to be happy, which was my family and what i would choose to give to the world. During that time, I studied and studied and I got to a point where I saw where I could help. I rediscovered my passion and saw the music industry from a perspective that I truly believed in when I started 10 years ago: LEVERAGE & ACCESS!!! 

You can leverage what you have to get what you want in this business. It's all about how you do it. Some say the industry is all about ACCESS. Access to people, access to things, access to opportunity. Who has it, where you can get it and what does it do for you? Who you know and who knows you? Leveraging access is a key factor to success so I've decided to GIVE it to the music artists that need it, want it and know what to do with it when it's presented. 

I'm just throwing this date out there but January 24th, 2016 I will be hosting an event. I still know some influential people and believe me, they would love to work with you. Why? If it ain't broke, fix it anyway.

Are you taking care of the things that are allowing you to succeed? I mean the things that if they weren't there, you'd be less productive as you are now. I'm asking this question because when it comes to success, if you don't know the things you're doing well you're gonna be blind sided when it breaks down. 

Think about a car for a second. If you know how to keep a car running well you can get it from point A to point B. It can have a beat up exterior but it still runs efficiently, because you're always tinkering with it. Checking on things and replacing parts even before it's absolutely needed. Now if the car looks new and you're always just washing the exterior making sure the car looks nice, you won't know what's wrong until it breaks down. If it ain't broke broke don't fix it, well guess what? It's broke now and all you have now is a shiny car. Stop shining up how you want people to see you and your business and get under the hood and start tinkering with the things that make it work. 

Regardless, people are still watching you. As humans we can't resist seeing someone really focused on their job. When I was a kid, I used to watch the garbagemen work when they would come down my block for pick ups.

3 Reasons Why Businesses Fail.

I tried to figure out why most businesses fail and most of all why I was failing. 

It was 3 simple things: I had unclear visions, unclear objectives and I procrastinated.

1) UNCLEAR VISIONS - I saw so many great things but couldn't focus on what I really wanted to gain.

2) UNCLEAR OBJECTIVES - My tasks always kept me so "busy" but I wasn't being "productive".

3) PROCRASTINATION - Sometimes I would think of something that would be a reason to not do something. Even though I knew it was important and that I would eventually have to do it, I would table it and not get it done. Kind of like knowing you have that project or term paper to hand in but you wait until the last moment (usually the night before...guilty) in a panic to complete it.
